Lilo's Dream Job

Terms of use

Last updated: November 2026 · Provider: Niklas Heist (Heist Ventures), Lenbachstraße 16, 10245 Berlin

§ 1 Scope

(1) These terms apply to every contract about the use of Lilo's Dream Job at https://lilos-dreamjob.com (the “service”) between Niklas Heist, Heist Ventures, Lenbachstraße 16, 10245 Berlin, Germany, email lilos-dreamjob@heistventures.com (“we”) and its users (“you”).

(2) Terms of yours that differ from these only apply if we agree to them in writing.

§ 2 The service

(1) Lilo's Dream Job helps you search for a job. It:

  • builds a profile from your answers to Lilo, our onboarding assistant, or your CV
  • suggests companies that fit your profile
  • collects open jobs from the public careers pages of those companies and sorts them by how well they fit you
  • gives you a board to track the jobs you apply for

(2) Job ads come from the companies that publish them. We don't check them and don't guarantee that they are correct, complete or still open. You apply on the company's own page; we are not a party to that and are not a recruitment agency. We don't promise that you will find or get a job.

(3) Profiles, company suggestions and the order of jobs are made partly by AI and automatic rules. They can be wrong. Please check your profile; you can change it at any time.

(4) We may develop the service further and change features, as long as the main features you pay for remain available and the change is reasonable for you. We tell you about important changes in advance.

(5) The service is for people aged 16 and over. You must be 18 or over to take out a paid subscription.

§ 3 Account

(1) You can answer the onboarding questions as a guest. To keep your profile you create an account with an email address and a password. With that, a free contract of use comes about between you and us.

(2) Keep your password secret and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account. An account is personal and may not be passed on.

§ 4 Free and paid use

(1) Creating a profile and seeing your best match are free. Seeing every match, saving jobs to your board and choosing the companies you follow need a paid subscription.

(2) We offer a weekly and a monthly plan. The price and billing period of each plan are shown on the payment screen and on Stripe's payment page before you pay. All prices are final prices.

(3) The contract for a subscription comes about when you complete the payment on Stripe's page. You pay in advance for each billing period through our payment provider Stripe.

(4) A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a few days; if it still fails, the subscription ends and the paid features are locked.

(5) We tell you about a price change for future periods at least 30 days in advance. It only applies if you agree to it. If you don't, either of us can end the subscription at the end of the current period.

§ 5 Cancellation and end of contract

(1) You can cancel a subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period: under “Manage subscription” on your profile page (Stripe's page), or by email to lilos-dreamjob@heistventures.com. Until then you keep access.

(2) You can end the free contract at any time by deleting your account (Profile → Delete account). We can end it with 30 days' notice; a running subscription then ends at the end of its period.

(3) Either side may end the contract without notice for good cause, for example a serious breach of § 6.

(4) You may also have a right of withdrawal as a consumer: see our right of withdrawal.

§ 6 Fair use

(1) Use the service only within the law and these terms. In particular, do not:

  • copy, collect or resell jobs, company data or other content from the service
  • access the service automatically (bots, scrapers) without our permission
  • attack the service, get round its security or overload it on purpose
  • enter content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others

(2) If you break these rules, we may block your account for a time or for good.

§ 7 Rights to content

(1) The service, its design, texts and software are ours or our licensors'. We give you a simple, non-transferable right to use them for your own job search during the contract.

(2) What you enter (answers, CV, notes) stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service to you.

§ 8 Availability

We work to keep the service available but cannot guarantee that it is never interrupted, for example during maintenance or when companies' careers pages can't be reached.

§ 9 Liability

(1) We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act.

(2) For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an essential contractual obligation (one that makes the contract possible in the first place and on which you may rely), and only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.

(3) Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded.

§ 10 Data protection

How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

§ 11 Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for the future if the service or the law changes. We send you the new terms at least 30 days before they apply. They only apply to you if you agree. If you don't, the contract continues under the old terms, and we may end it with effect from the date the new terms apply.

§ 12 Final provisions

(1) German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.

(2) If you are a merchant, the courts of Berlin have exclusive jurisdiction.

(3) We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

(4) If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain valid; the statutory rules take the place of the invalid provision.
